Police Visit

In November we had a visit from the local Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs).

They were very nice and gave us a lot of information about their job. First we gathered as a group to talk about the things that the officers carry with them, and we were very surprised to find out that they don't carry handcuffs!

Some of us got to try on a PSCO jacket, and the boys that did said the jacket was very heavy and hard to lift.

Then we were split into two groups.

One of the groups did a questionnaire about 'stranger danger', while the other went outside to see a police van. Then we switched over. When it was our turn to see the police van, one of the police ladies made us jump by putting on the siren! Luke said they should have had a volume switch! We were also allowed to go in the back of the van where the prisoners are held. The police lady shut us in and we all banged on the doors!

For our cubs homework we had to draw a picture of PCSO Paul and PCSO Caroline.

I have put mine and Luke's on this page and we hope to add some of the others later on.

We hope you like our pictures! (We hope Caroline and Paul like them too!)
